"The Cuban
Miracle"

Miracles begin with "divine appointments" so that those
who receive them can BE "divine appointments." Such happened to
Lana and me on our way to Tulsa several years ago. Before
our flight was airborne the attendant asked me to move to the other side
of the plane. Begrudgingly I did so.
Little did I know that my conversation with Russ & Wendy Tatro, would
begin to define the remaining years of our life, the nation of Cuba and
many third world countries. My new acquaintances had been
missionaries for about twenty eight years. During the flight we
shared about our ministries.
Russ offered me his two year Bible training center curriculum in
Spanish-which I refused on the basis that we were not involved with
Spanish speaking classes or people. Can you believe I would do
that? A few months later a missionary from Estonia, Sharon
Hytinen, spoke in our chapel service. After the chapel time, we
were discussing ministry and she looked at me and said, "I know a man
who has a two year Bible training curriculum in Spanish."
I replied inquisitively, Russ Tatro? "How do you know him?" She was
amazed that I met him on an airplane 37,000 feet in the air.
Sherry said, "You need that material and I'm going to have it sent to
you." Several days later it came in the mail and I put it on my
credenza. A few days later I took a team into Cuba.
A couple of weeks after we returned from the ministry trip to Cuba the
CD caught ny attention and finally the Lord got my attention. It dawned
on me what I really had in my possession. Because of "divine
appointments" we would now become a "divine appointment" to Cuba and
many more nations in starting Bible training centers.
Two and one/half years later we have a modern day miracle in Cuba with
13,000 students studying, being equipped and trained to be ministers. We
bought a printing press, laser printer, computer set up which Joshua
Nations has funded through gracious donors. We have printed 13,000
first year books, 9,000 second year books, 1,500 third year books and
1,500 diplomas for our first graduation in January.
We have taken many short-term ministry teams into Cuba and only eternity
will reveal the full extent of the influence of these graduates on their
nation. Because of God's "success story" in Cuba we now have
schools in Ghana, Bogota, and have trained leaders who will spearhead
schools in 35 cities in Germany. Also 75 - 100 nations are opening
to us in our relationship with Global Advance. This will be accomplished
in the next decade, that is, if Jesus tarries.

Missionaries in the Philippines are serving the Lord under Great
difficulties. They are evangelizing, preaching and Teaching in many
villages.

The Bogota Bible Training Center

In July we trained leaders to start the Bogota Bible
training centers. We now have 400 students studying in that
city. We will be training 40 more pastors who are going to
start schools in their churches. This is such fertile soil for
the advancement of the kingdom in this nation.
The
Pakistani Bible Training Center

Seven years ago we planted the Bible training center in
southern Pakistan. I will never forget the first day of class when
God healed 5 tumors that were on the throat of one of the female
students. What a way to start this new and exciting ministry.
Since then many of the 73 graduates have started churches, established
children's programs are ministering in churches, evangelizing villages
and raising up more Christian leaders.
Land has been purchased on which to put the Bible training center, the
medical clinic, and a K-12 school. Land has also been purchased in
a large city on which a church is bring built and pastured by graduates
of the school. Another graduate is starting a church which is
reaching Hindis. To God Be The Glory!
